Mackie Research Capital proudly sponsors bata to Batapreneur

On Saturday, July 13 the b2Bpreneur, a non-for-profit organization hosted their 2nd annual bata to Batapreneur children’s fair.  The bata to Batapreneur, a Children’s Business Fair, is an event that offers children the opportunity to be entrepreneurs for a day by selling their product or service in a marketplace setting. Educational workshops and inspirational talks enrich the children's learning and experience.

Mackie Research Capital was pleased to be a partner sponsor of this incredible day that showcased the products and services of many bright young minds.  In addition to letters of support from Mayor John Tory and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, dignitaries including the MP for Toronto- Danforth, Julie Dabrusin were on hand to share a few words of support and encouragement for the young entrepreneurs.

The word “Bata” in Filipino means child; from a child to childpreneur, the vision of b2Bpreneur is to build the next generation of empowered entrepreneurs with a heart.  Originally founded by Janet Lim, this organization has garnered so much interest and attention that it has begun encouraging young entrepreneurs from all backgrounds outside of the Filipino community to participate and foster their business skills.  MRCC’s own Rachel Muhlberger serves as the Chief Operations Officer and has worked tirelessly to make this event the success it was.
